Of course...considering that unless the weather was bad, Gregorick was normaly sleeping up on the battlements...To wake up the first morning at the chuckling of guards, and a servant creeping away after having set the tray with the delicous breakfast fare, down next to him...As he lay out on the stone walk of the battlement, beneath the open air...Had been quite a surprise!
But, a pleasant one...Pre-modern breakfast in bed so to speak!
And he bit his thumb (old style of flipping the bird, basicaly*L*) to the guards when the laughed and started calling him "M'Lord", knowing how he hated it, despite certain factors of his past...
"Ach, sod off ye sodding sods!" He callled to them good naturedly...And set to, with a good will and hearty appetite, to the not only delicous, but pleasant to the palate', varied meal...No simple porridge, this was!
He knew, even without the servant telling him...That such had been of Aelflead's doing...It had her touch to it, and her skill in the culinary art of the meal itself. The shyster was a rare find, and she was worth more then any ten others around here, for the most part, in his mind.
